their way of guidance through this Book.Allah the Almighty
says in the Quran:“Certainly did Allah confer [great] favor
upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from
themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them
and teaching them the Book [i.e., the Quran] and wisdom,
although they had been before in manifest error.” [Quran, 3: 164]
Indeed, the Quran helps Muslims to understand the secrets of the
universe they live in. Also, the Quran helps them to know more about
the secrets of creation as well as that of the laws managing the universe.
If you reflect on the Quran you will find perfect answers for the existential
questions you are usually haunted by. To clarify, you can find answers to the
questions like the purpose of life, the identity of man, the final destination,
and the path of achieving real happiness and tranquility.
One of the benefits of reciting the Holy Quran is to heal your body and soul.
Allah the Almighty says in the Quran:“And We send down of the Quran that which
is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers
except in loss.” [Quran, 17: 82]The condition of making good use of this advantage
is to have conviction in this and to have a good heart.
Adding to the points above, reciting the Quran with reflection in meanings and
application to them helps the Muslim to keep steadfast in facing the trials in life.
Allah the Almighty says in the Quran:
Adding to the importance of reciting the Holy Quran daily, the Quran mentions the
Messenger’s complaint to Allah of those who abandon the Quran:
“ And the Messenger has said, “O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’ān as
[a thing] abandoned.” [Quran, 25: 30]
To clarify, abandonment of the Quran has many ways; abandonment of recitation, listening,
reflecting, memorizing, or application.“And those who disbelieve say, “Why was the Quran
(standardize the words and transliterated terms you use like Quran, pbuh or saw, etc.)
not revealed to him all at once?” Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart.
And We have spaced it distinctly.” [Quran, 25: 32]
